Viacom continued its recent climb of Fortune’s annual World’s Most Admired Companies list, jumping to the No. 2 spot among all Entertainment companies, up from No. 4 last year.
Viacom ranked near the top of the Entertainment industry in all of Fortune’s nine key attributes of reputation, which include Innovation, Financial soundness and Social Responsibility, among others. The company ranked No. 1 among all media companies for Use of corporate assets. We like to think our recent efforts to monetize our vast content library through digital distribution deals with partners including Xfinity, Netflix, Hulu and Amazon has a little something to do with that.
