Employees Submit, Win ‘Green Shorts’

Paramount Pictures held its first-ever Green Shorts Competition, giving employees across the globe a chance to flex their creative muscles and show how they’re being green in their daily life.  The entries were clever, informative and innovative, with each submission offering a fresh outlook on what it means to be green.

The contest spanned from February through April and employees voted online for their favorite videos in the following categories:

  • Most Educational
  • Most Humorous
  • Most Original
  • Best Overall U.S.
  • Best Overall International

Paramount’s President of Production, Marc Evans, announced the big winners at a studio-wide gathering in April, awarded the prizes, including a pair of green shorts, and presented the videos for all to see.

Here are our top entries:

Winner in the categories of Most Educational and Best Overall U.S. is ROB WARZECHA with “Seconds,” which shows us how easy it is to be green (see above).

Winner in the categories of Most Original and Best Overall International from Paramount’s London Office is STEFANO CAUSSERO with a unique animated short, “Paper Paper.”

Winner in the category of Most Humorous is GENE AUGUSTO, for “Hollywood Plant Agent” with Benj Goehner and Chris Durso.
