‘Love & Hip Hop Atlanta,’ ‘Single Ladies’ Score Series High Ratings on Monday Night, July 23

Thanks to hit series “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and “Single Ladies,” VH1 was the top non-sports cable network this past Monday evening among women 18-49 for the 8th consecutive week.  VH1 also finished the night as the #1 non-sports cable network with adults 18-49.

“Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” has been the driving force behind VH1’s #1 ranking on Mondays.  Last night’s episode scored a series high 2.3 rating in the adult 18-49 demo (Live+SD).  “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” also drew in 3.5 million total viewers for its 8 p.m. premiere.  When combined with its first encore at 10 p.m., the episode brought in 5.6 million total viewers throughout the evening.  The series is also trending to be the most social series of the summer on all of television.

Scripted series “Single Ladies” is a huge hit for VH1 on its own, posting its own series high rating on Monday night with a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49.  The episode attracted 2.7 million total viewers in its 9 p.m. premiere.  And when combined with its first encore at 11 p.m., Single Ladies drew in 3.8 million total viewers for the night.

VH1’s overall year-to-date primetime ratings are up 33%  thanks to these series as well as “Mob Wives,” “Basketball Wives” and “La La’s Full Court Life.”
