CMT and Republic Nashville hosted an exclusive viewing party to celebrate the upcoming launch of singer Cassadee Pope’s new CMT docu-series, Cassadee Pope: Frame By Frame last Wednesday, Sept. 27.  Select industry, media and lucky Cassadee Pope fans gathered at Ruby in Nashville to preview the premiere of the six-episode series that follows Pope on her journey to becoming a country artist after winning season three of “The Voice.”

While guests mingled and enjoyed a cocktail hour and tasty hors d’oeuvres from local favorite The Southern, Pope took photographs and answered interview questions on the red carpet.  CMT’s SVP of Music Strategy Leslie Fram then welcomed the crowd and introduced the much-awaited first episode of the show.  In the premiere, Pope hits the studio and searches for what her first single will be, which she’ll perform on “The Voice” – her first time back on the show since winning season three.  She also kicks-off her six-week radio tour, stopping first in Phoenix and Tempe, Ariz. to perform for fans and radio programmers.  It’s not completely smooth sailing though, as Pope struggles with the lack of sleep and added stress that come along with radio tours, which in turn contribute to a migraine that strikes her at one stop.  She manages to make it through the performance and then it’s on to the next location.

As the 30-minute premiere concluded, the lights were raised at Ruby and Pope was met with loud applause from the audience.  Republic Nashville President Jimmy Harnen and BMLG President/CEO Scott Borchetta spoke about the journey of Pope’s development and shared their excitement about her bright future as an artist.  Borchetta touched on Pope’s drive and ambition by sharing a story about how she was eager to start recording literally the evening of the day she was signed to the label.  Both Harnen and Borchetta are enthusiastic about what the future holds for the 24-year-old.

Pope was then introduced and she took the stage, guitar in hand, to perform a six-song set.  Expressing her gratitude to the label and to CMT for the support and documentation of her journey, Pope was clearly overwhelmed with excitement from the room.  Alongside her two guitar players, Pope performed “I Wish I Could Break Your Heart,” “Eleven,”  “Champagne,” “ You Hear A Song,” “Good Times” and her smash single “Wasting All These Tears.”

Cassadee Pope: Frame by Frame premieres Friday, October 4 at 10 p.m., ET/PT on CMT.  In addition to behind-the-scenes footage from her radio tour, the show will follow Pope as she records her first music video, performs all over the country including at the CMT Music Awards, and selects and releases her first single. Her debut country album, Frame By Frame, hits stands October 8.
