Corporate Challenge 2015-2

A rainy, unseasonably cold week couldn’t stop Viacom employees from once again gathering in New York’s Central Park on June 3 for the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The race, now in its 39th year, had two principal goals: raise money for a great cause and reinforce the importance of fitness to those who spend large parts of their work days sitting at desks.

This particular event – one of a global series of races that J.P. Morgan bills as the largest team running event in the world – benefited the Central Park Conservancy, the not-for-profit organization that raises more than 75 percent of the park’s annual budget.

The 129 members of Team Viacom joined more than 15,000 runners from 293 companies on the evening run, one of two Manhattan races before the series moved north to Syracuse and Boston.
