This year, Viacommunity, the umbrella of Viacom’s pro-social efforts, brought to life its “Witness the Power of Story” campaign at the SXgood Hub through the #Story4Change Video Booth. More than just a video booth, the activation was a 10-by-10 professional “on-set” experience that was complete with a hair and makeup artist, producers, a cameraman, and video editors. The premise of the #Story4Change Video Booth was simple: Everyone has a story; something powerful that changed them into who they are. What was it for you? Stories ranged from filibustering legislation restricting a woman’s right to choose to delivering a TED Talk to travelling to Nicaragua to do service. Overall, the 85 stories Viacommunity gathered were honest, personal reflections that were as unique and varied as the people who sat in front of our cameras.
