Making Way for DiCaprio’s Appian Way on the Paramount Lot

With Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (June 3) and Star Trek Beyond (July 22) dropping soon, Paramount Pictures is already due for a big summer.

It just got bigger.

Paramount has signed a three-year, first-look production deal with Leonardo DiCaprio’s Appian Way Productions. They’re not wasting any time, either. Among the projects already underway via the partnership:

  • The Devil in the White City – a screen adaptation of the Erik Larson book that will star DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese
  • Sandcastle Empire – set in the apocalyptic future of novelist Kayla Olson’s world
  • An exploration of the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal based on a book proposal by The New York Times Jack Ewing
  • A biographical television series on Charles Lindbergh based on the work of A. Scott Berg

And this is just the beginning.
