Team Viacom Walks the Walk For AIDS Pevention (As Told Through Snapchat)

On Sunday, May 15, Team Viacom stepped out for the 31st annual AIDS Walk in New York. Alongside thousands of other corporate and individual sponsors, Team Viacom marched through Central Park for 10 kilometers to raise money for GMCH, the world’s leading provider of HIV/AIDS care and prevention.

Team Viacom raised over $18,000 this year. Viacommunity team member Michael Valentino documented the trek with a series of Snapchat videos. Follow their journey below.

The weather was unpredictable this year, but Team Viacom didn’t let that stop them from raising awareness for the HIV/AIDS crisis.

Cheerleaders provided a boost of additional motivation for our team.

This year, Snapchat paired up with AIDS Walk corporate sponsor and longtime HIV/AIDS activist, Kenneth Cole, to provide a unique Snapchat filter for the walk.

Team Viacom and fellow walkers shared an inspirational moment as they reached the finish line.

Viacom continued to show its support for finding a cure by lighting up its Times Square headquarters red the week of the AIDS Walk.

Take a look at the other landmarks that joined Viacom Headquarters in making the Manhattan skyline glow red that week.
