Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg Have a Dinner Party Invitation You Will Not Be Able to Ignore

When I think of celebrity besties, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart aren’t the first duo that comes to mind. But VH1’s upcoming show, Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party, will give viewers a rare peek at the innovative rapper’s bond with the home décor renegade.

Snoop, who calls Stewart his “homegirl,” explained the show’s premise in a VH1 press release. “We’re gonna be cooking, drinking, and having a good time with our exclusive friends,” said Snoop. “Can’t wait for you to see how we roll together!”

Neither can I. Snoop and Stewart share an affinity for culinary craft, fine wine, and a mellow atmosphere. According to Snoop, “Martha is smoking in the kitchen.”

This isn’t their first collaboration. Snoop guest-starred on The Martha Stewart Show, and both were on the panel for Comedy Central’s Roast of Justin Bieber.

If this clip from The Martha Stewart Show is any indication, the peculiar pals will merge harmoniously on VH1. Watch as Snoop Dogg helps Stewart peel the “ski-zinn” off the potatoes:

VH1 is rapidly growing. The brand eclipsed 25 similar networks in prime-time ratings and viewership since the beginning of the year. Three million viewers tuned in for VH1’s Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens. The crowning of hip-hop’s female pioneers was the highest-rated VH1 tentpole event in 15 years. Ratings for VH1’s docu-soap franchise, Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta, have soared recently, beating out the NBA playoffs for the most-watched Monday night cable show back in April.

All hail the queens! Missy Elliott, EVE, Lil Kim and the rest of the first ladies of hip hop provided a memorable night at the VH1 2016 #HipHopHonors.

Other hit shows, including Mob Wives, T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle, and Basketball Wives, continue to propel VH1’s primetime ratings surge.

The network is expanding its robust franchise with experimental, niche programming such as The Amber Rose Showa late night sex-positive talk show.

VH1 and Logo president Chris McCarthy says he’s thrilled with the partnership between two of pop culture’s biggest icons.

“Good parties are filled with fun, food, and unexpected guests,” said McCarthy. “Wait till you see what happens at Martha and Snoop’s dinner party; it will be unforgettable.”

While we don’t know what’s on the menu, we’re pretty sure it won’t be half-baked.

Martha and Snoop’s Dinner Party premieres in the fall of 2016. Visit VH1.com for more information.
