New International Campaign to Offer ‘Big Breaks’ to Fans at Major MTV Events

As MTV’s new international multi-platform campaign, MTV Breaks will give talented MTV fans around the world the chance to kick-start a career in the creative industries by offering unprecedented opportunities to work on its high-profile entertainment events. Starting with the 2014 MTV EMA in Glasgow on Nov. 9, MTV Breaks is offering big ‘breaks’ to three talented, young creatives who will win the opportunity to work as a photographer, costume designer or camera operator at this year’s show. They’re the longest days but the best days – the days when we don’t have time to eat, use the loo, or sleep, but we run, smartphone in hand, fueled by caffeine and adrenaline, to the finish line that is… SHOWTIME!

This is an account of such a day according to us, the VIMN Communications team, on the Mediterranean island of Malta for the annual spectacle known as the Isle of MTV.  The 2013 event was held on Wednesday, June 26th, and boy, was it a memorable one.

2012 MTV TRL Awards Rock Florence

More than 25,000 music fans gathered in Florence’s historic Piazzale Michelangelo square on Saturday night to watch the sixth annual MTV TRL Awards. With a magnificent view overlooking the Renaissance city, the adrenalin-filled, three-hour, open-air event was hosted by MTV VJ Valentina Correani and rap trio Club Dogo and broadcast live across Italy on MTV.
