I’m not much for living on the edge, being a relatively safe guy, but in Nashville recently, I was living totally on CMT Edge – our new roots music blog. The blog will be a home for artists on the fringe of country music and a hub to such gritty performance series as CMT’s CONCRETE COUNTRY, and will feature exclusive performances, interviews and more with established and indie artists. The Farewell Drifters Say Hello to SXSW

The Farewell Drifters, an energetic and young bluegrass band from Nashville, will say hello to SXSW with two official showcases this year. You can check them out early on Wednesday at 8 p.m. at The White Horse. Or you can catch ’em later – much later – at 1 a.m. on Saturday (actually Sunday) at the Victorian Room at the Driskill Hotel.
