Viacom Wins 90 Awards at PromaxBDA 2018

Viacom brands totalled 90 North America PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards at a gala in New York on June 14.

Nickelodeon (21 awards), Comedy Central (27), the Paramount Network (7), Paramount Channel (6), BET (2), MTV (4), Viacom Velocity (6), Viacom Catalyst (1), Viacom18 (10) and VIMN (5) were widely represented across the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in various categories for domestic and international productions.

Additionally, PromaxBDA honored Debra Lee, BET’s long-time former CEO, with its Lifetime Achievement Award for “her decades of achievement in our entertainment and media industry.”

Viacom Demonstrates Marketing and Creative Excellence with 103 PromaxBDA Awards

In a sweeping global affirmation of Viacom’s deep brand stable, adaptability across platforms, and overall marketing excellence, the company rolled up an impressive 103 awards between PromaxBDA’s 2017 North American and global Promotion, Marketing and Design Excellence Awards.

Nickelodeon, Spike, BET, TV Land, Comedy Central, Viacom18, Viacom Velocity, Viacom International Media Networks, and Viacom Catalyst all received honors at the ceremonies in Los Angeles on June 8. Juries of best-in-craft peers chose the winners in each category, infusing each nod with a coveted expert’s stamp of approval.

“That Gold Statue stands for the highest level of marketing and creative excellence in our industry,” Andy Baker, chairman of the PromaxBDA awards committee, wrote in his letter to honorees.

Viacom Congratulates Our 2016 Emmy Winners

After picking up more than a half dozen statuettes at the Creative Arts Emmys – including a long-deserved nod to RuPaul for best reality show host – Viacom brands added to their haul at the Primetime Emmys, with Comedy Central’s Key & Peele earning Outstanding Variety Sketch Series and the Paramount Television-produced Grease: Live winning its fifth overall Emmy, for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special.

Our Viacom Catalyst team, which orchestrated a definitive photo shoot with Jonathan Mannion for Viacom’s Fans First campaign earlier this year and recently designed the logo for the newly opened National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C., put together this flashy little video to acknowledge all of the winners.
